For the last few years, the annual St. Petersburg Bowl was one of the most beloved smaller bowl games in all of college football because of its sponsor, Beef 'O' Brady's. Now, the bowl has a new sponsor: the controversial digital currency system Bitcoin. The news was first broken by ESPN's Brett McMurphy.

A few minutes later, the news was confirmed by the bowl game's official Twitter account, which also unveiled the game's new logo.
