Michigan's football program opens its 2018 regular season on the road. The Wolverines, a Big Ten and College Football Playoff contender, start the year in South Bend, Ind. against Notre Dame.

This is a good thing, because the field at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich. could use a little work before the home opener.

Welp.

Michigan and Notre Dame are set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. E.T. on NBC. The Wolverines' first home game is set for Sept. 8 against Western Michigan. Kickoff for that game is scheduled for noon. Hopefully the midfield logo is in decent shape by then.
