Week three of the 2019 college football season didn’t feature any amazing matchups, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t any drama. A number of upsets will likely cause a shakeup in the polls.
Clemson, despite a number of turnovers from quarterback Trevor Lawrence, was able to take down Syracuse on the road. Alabama, meanwhile, went to South Carolina and avenged its 2010 loss to the Gamecocks.
The most shocking result was No. 18 Michigan State falling to Arizona State in a low-scoring affair. No. 21 Maryland also fell to Temple in a surprise.
As for the big Iowa vs. Iowa State game, that one was decided on a punt miscue. Here’s how we think the top 25 will shake out on Sunday afternoon:
- Ohio State
- Notre Dame
- Penn State
- Oregon (plays Montana tonight)
- Texas A&M
- Washington State
- Boise State (plays Portland State tonight)
- Arizona State
- Oklahoma State
