Week eight of the 2019 college football season featured one massive upset. Illinois, much an afterthought in the Big Ten this year, somehow upended No. 6 Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon. The Badgers did not look like a College Football Playoff contender in the loss.
In the biggest game of the week, Penn State raced out to an early 21-0 lead and held off Michigan down the stretch. The Nittany Lions stayed undefeated in the process.
Meanwhile, Texas needed a last-second field goal to survive Kansas, Oregon outlasted Washington with a big second half performance and Florida pulled away from South Carolina late.
Let's take a look at what we think the AP Poll will look like when it's unveiled on Sunday afternoon:
- Alabama (plays Tennessee Saturday night)
- LSU
- Clemson
- Ohio State
- Oklahoma
- Penn State
- Notre Dame
- Florida
- Georgia
- Auburn
- Oregon
- Utah
- Boise State (plays BYU Saturday night)
- Wisconsin
- Texas
- Baylor
- SMU
- Minnesota
- Cincinnati
- Iowa
- Appalachian State
- Michigan
- Virginia
