Projecting The AP Poll, Coaches' Poll After Week 8 Of The College Football Season
Week eight of the 2016 college football season saw one huge upset - and we got a little closer to understanding how the College Football Playoff could shape out.
Saturday brought a few interesting storylines. Alabama, after crushing Texas A&M, still looks like the best team in the country. Ohio State stumbled against Penn State and may need help to reach the Playoff later this year. A few others looked dominant - including Michigan, Washington and Louisville. Here's what we learned:
- It's starting to look like Louisville is going to be the first non-conference champion in the College Football Playoff.
- Alabama is going to win the SEC West barring a major collapse.
- Michigan vs. Ohio State in late November just got a lot more interesting.
- Washington vs. Utah, amazingly, is the biggest Pac-12 game of the year...so far.
