4 Purdue Football Players Accused Of Sexual Assault

Multiple Purdue players have been accused of sexual assault.

Four Purdue football players have been accused of sexual assault, according to the Lafayette Journal & Courier.

The accusations come from two Purdue University students.

From their report:

The accusations — related to an Oct. 13 incident at an off-campus residence — became public Wednesday in a news release from Massillamany & Jeter LLP, a Fishers-based law firm representing the students.

The Journal & Courier reported at the time that West Lafayette Police Department was investigating a sexual assault that occurred at 3:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Northwestern Avenue.

WLPD Capt. David Van Vactor confirmed on Wednesday that the investigation involved four Purdue student-athletes, all of whom were cooperative when interviewed by police. The case has been forwarded to the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor's Office, he added.

The four players have been suspended, according to a statement released by the alleged victim's lawyers.
