College GameDay Host Picks 4 Teams He Thinks Will Make The College Football Playoff

While the Ohio State saga is all anyone can seem to talk about in college football, we're actually just two weeks away from actual games being played. Friday, one of ESPN College GameDay's personalities made his official picks for the season.

Rece Davis, who took over hosting duties from Chris Fowler a few years back, is the first person on the GameDay staff to have his picks out in the open. He's got one pick that will be upsetting a number of fan bases, too.

Davis is going with Alabama, Clemson, Washington and Wisconsin. The Badgers are the surprise inclusion, to be sure.

Alabama, the reigning national champion, is a no-brainer of a pick. The Crimson Tide don't even know who its quarterback is going to be, but it doesn't matter. Alabama is ranked No. 1 in the preseason Coaches' Poll as well.

Clemson is returning a number of big pieces to its defense and is easily the favorite in the ACC. They're also somewhat of a no-brainer.

Washington is the favorite in the Pac-12. They're a trendy pick too. But Wisconsin, to reach the playoff, will likely need to run the table in the Big Ten West and then knock off either Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan or Michigan State in the league's title game.

That almost happened a year ago, but the Badgers lost to Ohio State.

At some point in the next two weeks, ESPN will unveil Kirk Herbstreit's picks - which get a lot of play. It'll be interesting to see if he agrees with his coworker on the four teams.
