Recruiting Analyst Thinks Ohio State 5-Star Commit Could Be Future No. 1 Overall Pick

The Buckeyes are getting a potential great one in Chase Young.

Chase Young, a five-star defensive end in the 2017 class committed to Ohio State, is the Buckeyes' second highest-ranked recruit in the class.

The 6-foot-5, 251-pound prospect out of Maryland is ranked the No. 2 WDE and No. 8 player overall by 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

The Buckeyes have produced their fair share of elite NFL defensive line prospects over the years and Young could be the next one.

One recruiting expert thinks he has NFL Draft No. 1 overall pick potential.

From Land of 10:

On Friday’s “Inside the Shoe” podcast, 247Sports’ Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong explained why the Buckeyes’ head coach’s celebration was so enthusiastic.

“He’s a guy that has the upside to be the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft,” Wiltfong said. “He’s a very disruptive defensive end.”

High praise. Will Young live up to it?
