Recruits Name Kansas The “Worst” Brand In College Football

The Jayhawks are the least-appealing program in the country.

PickSixPreviews published today a cool ranking of the best “brands” in college football according to recruits. Basically, recruits across the country ranked the schools they most want to play for.

“We wanted to find out exactly how high school football players perceive the Power 5 schools, so we asked 224 recruits to grade their interest and desire in each program as if they were the number one recruit in the country (i.e. they had offers from every school).  This process gave us a peek into the minds of the most important demographic: teenage football players,” PickSixPreviews says.

It’s a cool look into the minds of college football’s most-important people: the recruits. Clemson, for example, is the No. 1 brand. Ohio State is No. 2.

Penn State, Georgia and Oregon round out the top five. Alabama, somewhat surprisingly, is all the way down at No. 19 (that seems pretty ridiculous, to be honest, and not something that’s reflected in the recruiting rankings).

What’s the least-desired Power 5 program in the country? It’s not surprising.

It’s Kansas. The Jayhawks rank dead last in PickSixPreviews’ study.

KU finished with a score of 4.49 – the worst among all schools. Kansas is just below Boston College, Kansas State and Illinois.

You can view PickSixPreviews’ full study here. It’s worth checking out.
