Report: 5-Star Mitchell Robinson, Nation's Top Center, Commits To Western Kentucky

One of the 10 best players in the 2017 basketball recruiting class is going to play in Conference USA. You read that correctly. According to CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein, Mitchell Robinson, a five-star 7-footer and the No. 1 center in the class, has committed to Western Kentucky.

Robinson was previously committed to Texas A&M and was considering LSU. Former Mississippi State head coach Rick Stansbury, who is now the head coach of the Hilltoppers, had a major advantage in landing Robinson. He hired his Godfather earlier this month.

Robinson is ranked as the No. 9 player in the country, via 247Sports.


He is the first member of WKU's 2017 class.
