Lester Cotton was reportedly arrested on a drug charge Friday night.
Police reportedly arrested Alabama offensive lineman Lester Cotton on drug charges Friday night. Police allegedly found Lester with marijuana and other related items.
Kelvin Reynolds of WBRC Fox6 News first reported the news.
Officers said they reportedly "smelled the odor of marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle" after they pulled Cotton over Friday night.
Cotton started five games last season -- two at left guard and three at right guard. Cotton spent the other nine games on the Crimson Tide's bench.
According to 247Sports' Composite Rankings, Cotton was the No. 4 offensive guard in the 2015 recruiting class and the No. 55 recruit in the nation. The Tuscaloosa native picked the Tide over USC, Ole Miss, and Mississippi state, among others.
Cotton hasn't lived up to the hype coming out of high school, and this alleged incident likely won't help his relationship with Nick Saban.
