A Big 12 wide receiver has been kicked off his team. Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury announced junior wide receiver Quan Shorts will no longer be a part of the Red Raiders program.

Kingsbury and the Red Raiders did not provide further comment.

Shorts made three starts for Texas Tech last season. He hauled in nine catches for 109 yards and two touchdown.

The rising junior was supposed to become a prominent figure in the team's offense during the 2018 season.

Shorts is a former 3-star recruit out of Humble, Tx.

The wide receiver was arrested along with other players in March amid allegations of causing a disturbance at Bash Riprocks.
