Reports surfaced this morning regarding ESPN College GameDay‘s celebrity guest picker for this weekend’s show at Washington State. According to reports, former Cougars’ standout Klay Thompson was set to make the appearance.
Unfortunately, the reports are not true.
The Warriors have reportedly confirmed that Thompson will not be appearing on the show this weekend. Golden State does not play on Saturday, but the team is in the middle of a road trip.
“Per Warriors: Klay Thompson will not be in Pullman on Saturday as the Gameday Picker, contrary to report. It’s in the middle of a Warriors road trip.”

ESPN’s Chris Fallica spoke to spokesman.com about this weekend’s guest picker possibilities:
In an interview with The Spokesman-Review Thursday morning, longtime ESPN College GameDay research producer said the show had been considering Thompson, though couldn’t confirm that the Warriors star had confirmed.
“I hadn’t heard that it was official, but I saw that little bit that someone tweeted out,” Fallica said. “I knew we had kicked around (Klay), I had suggested obviously Ryan (Leaf) and Drew (Bledsoe).”
The show is set to begin at 9 a.m. E.T. on Saturday.
