The job looks like it is his.
After replacing Tom Savage at halftime in Week 1, Deshaun Watson seems poised to make his first career start.
While Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien did not name Watson the starter today, the former Clemson star will start this Thursday night against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to NFL reporter Jason LaCanfora.
Watson is battling an ankle injury, but apparently will be good to go.
In limited action yesterday, Watson completed 12-of-23 passes for 102 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also rushed for 16 yards on two carries.
Houston and Cincinnati will play Thursday night at 8:25 p.m. ET on NFLN.
