The Gators were reportedly turned down by Chip Kelly and Scott Frost.

Florida was reportedly turned down by not two, but three major head coaches before offering the job to Mississippi State's Dan Mullen, who accepted.

The Gators, according to several reports, went after Chip Kelly and Scott Frost, and both coaches decided to pass on the job. Kelly took the UCLA gig, while most expect Frost to land at Nebraska.

A new report now says that Oklahoma State's Mike Gundy was also offered the job.

Gundy is one of college football's best head coaches and probably would've been a nice fit in Gainesville.

Florida fans should be happy with the Mullen hire, though.
