The former Gators’ running back has reportedly passed away.
Mon Williams, a former Florida running back, reportedly passed away today. He was 31.
The tragic news of Williams’ death was shared by his former teammate and close friend, Emmanuel Moody.
Moody says Williams had a heart attack.
“Heart broken hearing this news…Mon Williams was a good man with a heart of gold and a great friend. He would help anyone and everyone – a true servant of God. A man who lived with strong conviction. I’m gonna miss you and I love you brother…” he said on Instagram.
Williams was a four-star recruit coming out of high school in 2006 and played for the Gators until 2008, when he transferred to Eastern Illinois after getting injured.
Rest in peace, Mon.
