The Aggies' head coach hasn't been officially fired by Texas A&M yet.

Kevin Sumlin was named a potential candidate for the Arizona State job when the Sun Devils announced they had fired head coach Todd Graham.

It looks like the Texas A&M coach might be getting the job.

TexAgs.com's Billy Liucci reports that Sumlin "will be the next Arizona State head coach" and that a deal could be announced soon.

Sports Illustrated's Bruce Feldman said that Sumlin-to-Arizona State makes a lot of sense and that the school has wanted to hire him before.

Sumlin, though, remains Texas A&M's head coach. Most expected him to be fired, but it could be possible that he just leaves for this job instead. That would leave some buyout money on the table, though.

Stay tuned.
