Texas Tech relieved Kliff Kingsbury from his head coaching duties after the Red Raiders finished with a 5-7 record - the team's third time missing a bowl game in Kingsbury's six seasons. After his firing, Kingsbury became the hottest assistant coaching candidate across the country.
Kingsbury's name popped up for several jobs, including a few offensive coordinator positions at the NFL level. However, a recent report suggests he's also interested in a college job.
According to Lisa Horne, Kingsbury visited with USC today.
The Trojans fired offensive coordinator Tee Martin earlier today, along with several other member of the coaching staff. Head coach Clay Helton remains, though it looks like he's in need of a new offensive coordinator.
Kingsbury spent several seasons as an assistant coach at Houston and Texas A&M before six years as Texas Tech's head coach.
Will Kingsbury become the next offensive coordinator at USC? We'll have to wait and see whether he wants to stay at the collegiate level, or make the jump to the NFL.
