Another major media company is having layoffs.

Sports Illustrated is undergoing layoffs, according to a report by The Big Lead.

Roughly two weeks after ESPN laid off about 100 front-facing employees, SI is set to lay off five staffers, according to the report.

The layoffs will reportedly affect Sports Illustrated's college sports coverage.

From The Big Lead:

SI’s parent company, Time Inc., missed earnings badly this week, sending their stock price down from above $15 a share to below $13 a share; earlier this year company leadership turned down an offer to be acquired for $18 a share.

Some of the names will be recognizable to readers, and will impact college sports coverage. However, SI does plan to announce new hires in the coming months, the source said. This post will be updated when names are confirmed.

College basketball and football were two of the sports most-affected by ESPN's layoffs, too.

Coverage of the two sports could look a lot different going forward.
