Report: UNC's Larry Fedora Wanted The Baylor Job

An ACC coach reportedly wanted the Baylor job.

Baylor has a new head football coach - the Bears have hired Temple's Matt Rhule, a hire that has been lauded by most.

According to Bleacher Report's Jason King, a high-profile ACC coach wanted the job, but never got an interview.

Fedora, 54, was born in Texas, went to college in Texas and was an assistant coach at Baylor from 1991-96.

Perhaps Baylor had its sights on Rhule all along and got the man they wanted, but it's a little puzzling someone of Fedora's stature - with connections to the school - was never even interviewed.
