Report: Wisconsin, Notre Dame Working On A Series

The Fighting Irish and the Badgers are working on a non-conference series.

Notre Dame is reportedly working on a potential non-conference series vs. a Big Ten power.

Teddy Greenstein of the Chicago Tribune reports that the Fighting Irish are talking with Wisconsin about a possible series.

The games would be played at Solder Field in Chicago.

Soldier Field is basically middle ground for both schools, less than two hours from South Bend, Ind., and about two and a half from Madison, Wis.

Speaking in general terms about college teams playing at Soldier Field, LeFevour cited recruiting and marketing benefits plus “the experience” that players get from playing in a pro facility.

A non-conference series between these programs would be a lot of fun, but it'd be more fun if they just did a normal home-and-home, playing in South Bend and Madison.
