Penn State enters this contest on a nine-game winning streak and is coming off of a huge comeback win over Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship Game. Down 28-7 in the first half, the Nittany Lions battled back to win the Big Ten Title by a score of 38-31. After narrowly missing out on a spot in the College Football Playoff, Penn State's consolation prize was a spot in the Rose Bowl against a hot USC team.
The Trojans and Nittany Lions have played nine times in history, with the Trojans holding a slight 5-4 edge.
