Ohio State head coach Ryan Day witnessed Joe Burrow's Heisman Trophy speech in person on Saturday night. Day was at the ceremony in New York City to support the Buckeyes' two finalists, Justin Fields and Chase Young. But he was there to support Burrow, too.

Burrow, of course, spent his first three seasons of college at Ohio State. He shared a heartfelt moment with Day and strength coach Mickey Marotti before taking the stage on Saturday night.

Day was asked about Burrow's speech on Monday afternoon.

Ohio State's head coach had major praise for the LSU quarterback.

"To be there and experience that is one of those things I'll remember 'til I'm 80 years old," Day said. "For him to go through what he's been there, play the way he's played...unbelievable. You talk about class, there's not a classier guy.”

Burrow thanked both the LSU football program and the Ohio State football program during his acceptance speech on Saturday night. It's clear that they both have had a major effect on Burrow's development into one of the best players in the country.

We could get a Burrow vs. Ohio State matchup in a couple of weeks, too. The Tigers and the Buckeyes are set to play in opposing College Football Playoff semifinal games on Saturday, Dec. 28.

An LSU-Ohio State national title game would be fun.
