A former top recruit in the 2016 class has reportedly decided to transfer out of the SEC.
Jamal Couch, a former four-star recruit in the 2016 class, is reportedly transferring out of Mississippi State.
The wide receiver is a junior with two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Genespage.com, the leader in Mississippi State sports coverage, has learned that junior wide receiver Jamal Couch is transferring from the program. Mississippi State officials confirmed this news on Thursday morning.
Couch signed on with Mississippi State as a member of the 2016 signing class and played as a true freshman. The former four star standout signed with the Bulldogs after backing off of a commitment to Florida State and enrolled in Starvkille in time for summer school and off season conditioning in June of 2016.
Couch expected to be a major part of the Bulldogs' offense this fall. However, the program underwent a coaching change this offseason, hiring Joe Moorhead to replace Dan Mullen. Couch hasn't really seen the field this season.
