The SEC announced the LSU-Florida matchup will kick off at 1:00 p.m. E.T., the first such LSU home game to kick off that early since 1989.
The Tigers, fresh off of their loss to No. 1 Alabama, now have the exact time to look forward to in their matchup against Florida. LSU hosts the Gators for the earliest kickoff from Death Valley since 1989. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network at 1 p.m. E.T..
The game, scheduled for November 19, was originally scheduled for Oct. 8 in Gainesville, but was moved due to Hurricane Matthew. Florida and LSU had a hard time coming to an agreement on when the game would be played, but the two teams finally settled on a home game for the LSU Tigers.
According to The Advocate, part of the deal Florida and LSU agreed on was that the game would not be played at night.
Florida hosts South Carolina this weekend, without starting quarterback Luke Del Rio, who will be out with a shoulder injury. LSU travels to Arkansas, who just beat Florida, to take on a tough Razorbacks squad.
