The Ohio State Buckeyes are currently shellacking the Michigan State Spartans in East Lansing, but the win could come at a big cost.
Ohio State’s top defender, standout defensive back Shaun Wade, has exited the game with an injury.
Wade, who’s considered a top prospect for the 2021 NFL Draft, appeared to suffer a lower-body injury against the Spartans.
The All-American defensive back had to be helped off the field. Wade appeared to suffer the injury after getting landed on by a big teammate.

Wade’s legs appeared to get rolled up on by a teammate. He appeared to be in pain as he left the field. Wade was later seen on the sideline without his helmet on, grimacing as he tested out his legs.
Ohio State cornerback Tyreke Johnson has replaced Wade on the field for now.

Wade is currently standing on the sideline, appearing to test out the injury, so it doesn’t appear to be extremely serious. The fact that he’s able to walk on it is a good early sign.
However, any kind of missed time will be a big blow to a Buckeyes’ defense that has been inconsistent for much of the 2020 season.
Ohio State leads Michigan State, 28-0, midway through the third quarter.
