Shedeur Sanders Has Perfect Response To 'Moral Victories' Question
Colorado lost its second straight game to USC on Saturday, but they weren't blown out. After entering the second half facing a 34-14 deficit, the Buffaloes were able to turn things around. They played well enough in the second half to only lose 48-40.
Given the way they were beaten by Oregon last week, many said that their effort against the Trojans to be a moral victory.
Quarterback Shedeur Sanders doesn't share that opinion. Sanders was asked about Saturday's game being a moral victory in a postgame press conference.
"I don't know what that means," Sanders said, with a smile.
The Buffaloes are now 3-2, but the good news is that they've probably faced the two best teams on their schedule this season.
They're still 2-0 against unranked opponents, and it doesn't appear that they'll face another ranked team until they face Oregon State on November 4.
The team needs only three wins to become bowl eligible, an achievement that seemed next to impossible for Sanders and the program just a few weeks ago.
Shedeur Sanders, his father Deion and the rest of the team aren't looking at Saturday as a moral victory, but it's hard to argue that they didn't respond well to adversity in a situation where the game could have gotten out of hand.
