Sunday was an important day for Joe Burrow. The Ohio State quarterback is now a college graduate. This is big for a couple of reasons.
One - Burrow now has a diploma. Two - Burrow can now transfer to another school as a graduate transfer and play right away.
The question, of course, is will he actually do that? Hopefully, everyone will be getting an answer soon.
A tweet from Burrow's father, Jimmy Burrow (the defensive coordinator at Ohio), has fans freaking out a little bit. Maybe they're reading into it too much, or maybe they're not...
"On to the next challenge," Jimmy Burrow.
Does "next challenge" just mean, he's graduated so now he's on to graduate school/football? Or, does "next challenge" mean a school other than Ohio State?
Burrow is competing for the starting job with Dwayne Haskins, who was the 2017 backup. Urban Meyer has been pretty silent on the situation, other than saying that he knows he has to make a decision relatively soon. Burrow spoke after the spring game about everything.
“It would be really hard for me to leave. I’ve put so much into this and I’ve put my heart and soul into it. If I were to leave it would be pretty devastating for me. But at the same time, I would understand how they went,” Burrow told reporters after the game.
