One of the top athlete recruits in college football has announced his college decision. It's a surprising one.

Cam'Ron Kelly, a four-star athlete out of Chesapeake, Va., announced on Twitter this morning that he's committed to Virginia Tech.

This comes as somewhat of a surprise, considering the top athlete was believed by most to be considering Clemson or Penn State more. Kelly had even reportedly visited Virginia more than he had VT.

He's going to be a Hokie, though.

Kelly announced the news on Twitter.

"110% COMMITTED!!!" he wrote.

This is a big pickup for Virginia Tech. Kelly is ranked the No. 158 overall recruit by 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

The Hokies' class is ranked No. 31 in the country.
