Star Washington State WR Tavares Martin Dismissed From The Program

The team's leading wide receiver has been dismissed from the team.

Washington State has dismissed its leading wide receiver.

The Cougars announced this morning that junior wideout Tavares Martin has been kicked out of the program.

Martin has been dismissed due to a violation of team rules, according to a school spokesman.

Martin, a 6-foot-1, 183-pound wide receiver, had 70 catches for 831 yards and 9 touchdowns this season.

Washington State is set to play Michigan State in the Holiday Bowl on Thursday, Dec. 28 at 9 p.m. E.T. on Fox Sports 1.
