Stephon Wright has cut his schools list to 10. The Angeleno defensive end is one of the top players at his position in the class.
Wright stars at Cathedral High School. He's the 25th-ranked California recruit in the class of 2019.
Overall, 247Sports' composite ranking system has him at No. 214 in the country. He's the No. 17 strong-side defensive end.
Wright has 19 reported scholarship offers, and will likely end up with much more than that. Much of the Pac-12 is after him.
Eight schools from the conference made his Top 10. Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, USC, Utah, Washington, and Washington State all made the cut.
The other two schools involved are Nebraska and Oklahoma. While he says that he cut his list down, he is not ruling out other programs.
Stephon Wright made the announcement via Twitter:
Wright's other offers include Boston College, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M. Oregon State has also offered, and appears to be the only Pac-12 school that has offered that did not make the top 10.
Only four predictions have been registered over at 247's crystal ball. Three have him heading to USC, while one has him going to Oklahoma.
That's not nearly enough to make any definitive conclusions from. Of course, it makes sense that some would go with the home town Trojans early.
USC is yet to land a 2019 recruit. Oklahoma has five, four of whom are four-star players.
