The former Gators' head coach has addressed the rumors.

Steve Spurrier has taken to Twitter to address the rumors surrounding his involvement in the Florida head coaching search.

A report from Darren Heitner said that the legendary head coach was pushing for the Gators to hire UCF head coach Scott Frost.

Spurrier says that's not true.

"I am not recommending anyone for the job," he says.

Chip Kelly has been the head coach mentioned the most surrounding the Florida vacancy and it's been reported that there is at least some interest on both sides.

Frost and Mississippi State's Dan Mullen are also reportedly being considered.
