Syracuse QB Rex Culpepper Declared Cancer Free

Syracuse quarterback Rex Culpepper celebrates a play during the spring game with Moe Neal.

Earlier this year, Syracuse quarterback Rex Culpepper announced that he had been diagnosed with testicular cancer. It was very unfortunate news, but he didn't let the diagnosis take over his life.

In an incredible moment Friday night, Culpepper rang the bell, a custom for patients who have been declared cancer free. Culpepper completed his 10-week chemotherapy process, and was joined by family, friends, and plenty of cameras as he celebrated the news.

Check it out.

Following his first round of chemo, Culpepper rejoined his teammates to take part in the team's spring game. Despite his diagnosis, Culpepper saw plenty of action on the field. In an incredible display of humanity, Culpepper was mobbed by his teammates after tossing a touchdown pass during the scrimmage.

Congratulations to Rex and we look forward to watching him compete this season!
