Tennessee Football Offered A Scholarship To An 8th Grader Today

Owen Pappoe is one of the most-talented recruits in his class. The 6-foot-1, 194-pound prospect dubbed "The Freak" is listed as an athlete but most analysts see him as a linebacker at the college level.

He's a member of the 2019 class; so he's currently in the eighth grade.

Pappoe's youthfulness hasn't stopped him from receiving scholarship offers, though. Tennessee offered a scholarship to the elite prospect Tuesday morning; Boston College offered him a few days ago.

From Youth1's report:

The tipping point for the offer may have been this past weekend when Pappoe and several other 2019 teammates visited Knoxville for their spring game.

The scholarship offer snowball may be beginning to roll downhill, as Boston College offered Pappoe a few days ago and the Volunteers have followed suite. Expect more for this talented 2019 athlete, but for now, he’s happy with the Tennessee offer.

Again, he’s the kid who famously told us, “I look good in orange.”

College football recruiting is a crazy world.
