According to ESPN, Texas has its man. The Longhorns, according to Heather Dinich, will hire Tom Herman as their next head football coach.

The Texas Longhorns have their next head coach. Tom Herman, who has coached Houston for the past two seasons, will be leaving for Austin and the Big 12. Herman, who coached the Cougars to a 22-4 record the last two years, will be announced later on Saturday. ESPN's Heather Dinich was the first to report the news.

Herman's hiring comes just hours after the school made it official that it had fired head coach Charlie Strong. Strong finished his three years in Austin with a 16-21 record.

Herman coached the Cougars to a 13-1 record in his first year - which was capped off with an impressive Peach Bowl win over Florida State. This year, he led his team to a 9-3 mark.

There's no word on a potential replacement for Herman in Houston. Longhorns fans, however, have to be feeling pretty good right now.
