Emmitt Smith's son, E.J. Smith, is looking to follow in his father's footsteps. The son of the legendary Dallas Cowboys running back is one of the top players in the country at his position. Of course, he's a running back, too.

E.J. Smith announced on Twitter on Sunday his top five schools.

"It’s that time. Top 5. Thank you family and coaches for guiding me towards making my five decisions. There isn’t an order to my top 5," he wrote.

The five schools: Texas A&M, Ohio State, Stanford, Florida and Georgia.

Emmitt Smith starred at Florida before going to the Dallas Cowboys, where he had a Hall of Fame career.

The four-star running back is projected to end up at either Stanford or Ohio State, though.

E.J. Smith currently has projections to the Cardinals on 247Sports' "Crystal Ball" with Ohio State also believed to be a favorite.

The 5-foot-11 running back is the No. 126 overall recruit in the 2020 class.
