The 6 Schools In Contention To Land 2019's No. 1 Recruit

Kayvon Thibodeaux runs drills in a camp

The No. 1 overall recruit in the 2019 class has yet to make his college decision. Here's the latest on his potential commitment.

Kayvon Thibodeaux is a five-star defensive end out of Thousand Oaks, California, and he's looking at schools from all across the college football landscape. He's the No. 1 recruit in 247Sports' recruiting rankings for the class of 2019.

247Sports has 28 different scholarship offers thus far, from every major conference in the country.

In January, he told 247 that he is close to cutting down his list of schools, and listed six programs that he is most comfortable with at that point in time.

"A few schools I know that will make my list will be Alabama, Texas A&M, LSU, USC, UCLA and Michigan. That's not a top list or anything, just a few schools that I feel good about right now."

Since then, Florida State has emerged as a favorite to land the top recruit. Thibodeaux consistently tweets about Florida State head coach Willie Taggart, and recently visited the Seminoles.

According to 247Sports' Crystal Ball Predictions, USC is the favorite to land Thibodeaux, while Florida State and LSU aren't far behind.

Where do you see Kayvon committing? A decision could come soon.
