The Citadel vs. North Carolina preview:
The Citadel is an FCS team, and a very good one at that. The Bulldogs are 10-0 on the season, good enough for the No. 6 spot in the FCS Coaches Poll. After finishing its FCS schedule undefeated, the Citadel gets rewarded by traveling to Chapel Hill to take on the Tar Heels.
While the Citadel has been steady all season and racked up 10 wins, the Tar Heels have been anything but steady. Yes, they have seven wins on the season, but their losses are the most confusing part of their season. North Carolina lost to Georgia to open the season, okay fine. Then it got trounced by a Virginia Tech team that is as up and down as the Tar Heels themselves. Finally a loss to Duke makes us wonder which team the Tar Heels are. The team that took down Florida State, or the one who loses to lesser opponents?
The Citadel vs. North Carolina prediction:
Despite the Citadel being an FCS opponent, North Carolina better bring its A-game if it wants to make sure it still is in control of the ACC Coastal. No, this is not a conference game, but if the Tar Heels lose this one, anything can happen in the game against NC State next weekend.
Quarterback Mitch Trubisky will do enough to carry the Tar Heels here.
