Over the past month, the Ohio State Buckeyes and LSU Tigers have been battling it out for the top spot in the College Football Playoff rankings. The Buckeyes took over as the No. 1 team in the country following the team's win over Penn State.

After taking down Michigan in impressive fashion, Ohio State retained the No. 1 spot in the latest playoff rankings. LSU, fresh off of its dismantling of Texas A&M, held down the No. 2 spot, while Clemson and Georgia rounded out the top four.

Alabama's loss to Auburn cost the Crimson Tide a spot in the playoff and caused the team to drop in the rankings.

Here's the full list:

One more weekend of college football will decide which teams make it to the playoff this year. Ohio State and LSU seem like locks to make it, even if they lose this weekend.

For the first time since the playoff's inception, Alabama won't be there. Utah and Oklahoma have the chance to fill the fourth and final spot if they win their respective conferences.
