The Military Bowl Has The Worst Players’ Gift Package

The Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman.

This is the worst bowl game gift package.

It's college football bowl season, which means it's time to examine which the gift baskets that the players will receive for making it to their respective bowl games. For some players—like those in the Chick-fil-A bowl—they'll receive a $300 Visa gift card, a bluetooth speaker, a Fossil watch and a football.

Pretty sweet! But that standard isn't the same everywhere, and some players are definitely getting hosed. The worst gift package of all? That belongs to the Military Bowl, which Virginia and Navy will be playing in on Dec. 28.

Here's what the players will receive:

  • Rock ‘Em socks
  • Under Armour beanie
  • Under Armour backpack

Uhh, that's not great! Heck, you can buy that entire gift package and more with just the $300 gift card from the Chick-fil-A Bowl.

With all the money college football and its sponsors bring in, you'd think that the players would be afforded something more than just socks and a backpack.

A full list of all the gifts can be found here.
