One of the top quarterback recruits in the 2019 class announced his decision on Wednesday night. It was a surprising one.

Hank Bachmeier, the No. 8 pro-style quarterback in the '19 class, has scholarship offers from Cal, Georgia, Minnesota, Ole Miss and Tennessee, among other programs. The four-star quarterback will not be playing for any of those schools, though.

The top QB recruit announced his commitment on Wednesday night.

He's committed to Boise State.

This is a massive commitment for Boise State's program. The Broncos have long been one of college football's most consistent programs, but top quarterback recruits typically don't decide to play in Boise.

Bachmeier is a 6-foot-3 pro-style quarterback out of Murrieta, Calif. He's ranked the No. 184 overall recruit in the class by 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

He's Boise State's second commit in the 2019 class.
