The Schools In Contention For The Top Available QB Recruit

Here's who's in contention to land the top available quarterback recruit.

Of the top 15 quarterback recruits in the 2018 class, only one has yet to commit to a school.

Tanner McKee, a four-star pro-style QB out of California, is the top available quarterback recruit in the country.

The 6-foot-6, 220-pound prospect is ranked the No. 8 QB in the class by 247Sports' Composite Rankings and the No. 58 player overall.

There could be a long way to go with his recruitment, but as of now, here are the schools that appear to be in contention:

  • Alabama
  • BYU
  • Duke
  • Georgia
  • Nebraska
  • Stanford
  • Texas A&M

According to 247Sports' "Crystal Ball" projections, Stanford is the current leader, with 67 percent of the predictions have him going to the Cardinal's program.

McKee has been thriving at the Elite 11 quarterback competition and could see his name rising in the recruiting rankings.

McKee is a quarterback recruit that's only going to get more coveted.
