The World Series Will Mess With A Major College Football Game This Year

The Ohio State-Penn State showdown won't be a night game.

The Ohio State-Penn State showdown in Columbus on Oct. 28 should be one of the best college football games of the year.

Both the Buckeyes and the Nittany Lions are expected to contend for a Big Ten championship and a College Football Playoff berth. The two programs should boast two of the most-exciting offenses with several NFL-caliber players on defense.

It's, hopefully, going to be one incredible game. It should definitely be a night game, too, right?

It should be, but it won't.

FOX is televising the game this year and announced today that it'll kick off at 3:30 p.m. E.T.

Ohio State and Penn State have the MLB to blame for this. FOX has rights to the World Series and a game will probably land on that Saturday night. So the kickoff time for the Buckeyes-Nittany Lions game has to be moved up.

It's unfortunate.
