Week 3 of the 2019 college football season is already producing the kind of crazy Saturday that many people were expecting.

No top 25 teams are slated to play against each other this weekend, though if history is any indicator, all that means is upsets are coming. The last five weekends to not feature any top 25 vs. top 25 matchups all produced at least two notable upsets.

So far this Saturday, history is proving to be a good predictor of what's to come.

We've had one top 25 team fall in an upset and another three notable teams going down to underdogs.

No. 21 Maryland fell to Temple, 20-17

The Citadel upset Georgia Tech, 27-24

Eastern Michigan beat Illinois, 34-31

Air Force upset Colorado, 30-23
