There was some Buckeye-on-Buckeye crime at the Shrine Game today.

There are three former Ohio State players taking part in the Shrine Game this week. We had some Buckeye-on-Buckeye crime at a practice today.

J.T. Barrett, the likely starter for the East Team at quarterback, was intercepted by one of his former Ohio State teammates.

Former Buckeye cornerback Damon Webb picked off Barrett on a play near the redzone.

Dan Hope of Eleven Warriors, who's down in St. Petersburg covering the game, has the details:

During a red zone passing drill late in Wednesday’s practice at Shorecrest Preparatory School, Pittsburgh cornerback Avonte Maddox tipped a pass thrown by Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett and Webb took advantage, intercepting the ball off the deflection, as can be seen in the video below.

Obviously, this isn't a big deal. Barrett was probably intercepted by his teammates all the time in practice over his five years in Columbus.

But it's still fun to watch. So check it out:

NFL scouts were reportedly impressed by Webb today.

Hope reported that one said "he makes a lot of plays" after the interception. Another said that he "won" the practice.

The Shrine Game is set to kick off on Saturday at 3:07 p.m. E.T. It will be televised on the NFL Network.
