Coming off a 14-1 season and a near-miss in the College Football Playoff championship game against Alabama, Clemson justifiably has plenty of reasons to be excited going into the 2016 season.

In the aftermath of his team's loss to the Crimson Tide in January, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney made a press-conference promise that his Tigers would be back on the same stage sooner rather than later. That promise is the basis of this awesome fan-made Clemson hype video.

Posted yesterday, YouTube user Son of Clemson has stitched together clips of Swinney's declaration, last year's season and Clemson's 1981 national championship team. The video is simply titled "Promise."

Clemson opens up its 2016 season at 9 p.m. ET on Sept. 3 against Auburn on ESPN.
