This Was Somehow Ruled A 1st Down In The Kentucky-USM Game

We're not sure what the refs were looking at here.

The worst first down call of college football's Week 1 happened in the Kentucky-Southern Miss game earlier this evening.

We're not really sure how this happened, but the refs called this a first down for USM:

We thought maybe that was just a bad angle, but everyone watching the game seemed to agree that it was ridiculous.

Kentucky's head coach was not happy.

Kentucky is leading anyway, up, 14-13, at halftime.
