Tim Brando Names Auburn His "National Sleeper" Team In 2017

The Tigers are the Fox Sports analyst's sleeper pick.

Tim Brando likes Auburn heading into the 2017 college football season.

The Fox Sports analyst named the Tigers his "national sleeper" team heading into the fall.

Brando loves the addition of former Baylor standout Jarrett Stidham at quarterback. He also thinks that offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey will have a good, balanced approach.

Auburn's early schedule is the key to Gus Malzahn's team contending for an SEC title and College Football Playoff berth.

Auburn has a big test early in the season, as the Tigers travel to Clemson to face the reigning national champions in Week 2. A road test in Death Valley is a brutal one, but Dabo Swinney's team will be breaking in a new quarterback, so the ACC power could be vulnerable early on.

ESPN's Football Power Index ranks Auburn the country's fifth best team heading into the season.
