Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts is playing unbelievable football so far this season. Lincoln Riley's system has a knack for helping transfer quarterbacks be successful right away. Many are predicting the Heisman Trophy will once again make its way to Oklahoma.

But a former Heisman Trophy winner doesn't think Hurts is the best player in college football right now. On Saturday morning, Tim Tebow, SEC Network analyst and former Florida quarterback, said a certain SEC player is tops in the nation.

It's hard to pick against Tua Tagovailoa. The Alabama quarterback is shredding every defense he's playing lately. In the process, Tagovailoa is putting up some video-game like numbers through three games — 1,007 passing yards and 13 total touchdowns.

When talking about Tagovailoa, you also have to look at Alabama's current success. The Crimson Tide aren't just 3-0 — they're also outscoring opponents 151-36. With the combination of Tagovailoa, running back Najee Harris and a couple explosive receivers, the Tide might just have the best offense in the country.

But Hurts and Oklahoma might want something to say about that. Hurts is more of a dual-threat as he's rushed for 373 yards and four touchdowns. The former Alabama quarterback has also passed for 880 yards and nine TDs.

It's too early to make a call on who's the best player of the season. But Hurts and Tagovailoa are certainly making a strong case.

Do you agree with Tebow?
