On Thursday night, former Ohio State assistant football coach Zach Smith was back in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Police arrested the former Buckeyes assistant coach for violating his Civil Protection Order. According to multiple reports, Smith became confrontational with the staff at Scioto Ridge Elementary when they did not allow him to pick up his children from the school.

TMZ revealed Smith was not allowed to pick up his children from school until 6:00 p.m., but he showed up to the school three hours earlier.

His wife, Courtney Smith who was also at the school, placed the call to police.

According to the call, she alleges Zach Smith could be heard "yelling" at the principal of the school.

TMZ has more details on the arrest:

When school officials confronted Zach ... cops say an altercation took place -- and Zach was eventually arrested for violating the protection order.

Per jail records, Smith was booked at 6:24 PM and has not been released yet.

Ohio State relieved Smith of his duties as the team's wide receivers coach following his alleged involvement in a domestic violence scandal involving his wife. Smith denied the allegations.

Now it appears Smith has violated part of his agreement with the court.
